 Ever seen a movie that had you coming back for some scenes?


This is one! Malcolm and Marie- directed by Sam Levison (A white Movie director and also director of Euphoria)... We had to explain who the director is so you get full understanding of this review.

 Five minutes into the movie, I'm like "Mann! Who is this guy?!" I felt he was too dramatic for a guy, obnoxiously extolling the delights of premiering his first film as a writer and director. In actuals, the director ( John David Washington) could relate to the character ( Malcolm) as he is actually a director in this film. We see that he feels the emotions being a "black movie director" and acting as one, this is a chance to express what he really feels...hence his drama. 

Sam Levison, a white director who isn't fully subject to all the hate and criticisms from white racist film critics doesn't feel this pressure and just wants to pass his message... using a race that feels it bad!😑

 Personally, we loved this movie like it was goooooood, we think it was great. We could even say it represented the present, what happens in relationships now, the insecurities, the comparisons, the "very good-good times" and "very bad-bad times" in relationships. "Love is gonna get easier and gonna get harder" words of Marie from the film. This is actually shown throughout from all their acts, brash one moment and vulnerable the next. We see how females have the need to be appreciated and Males not totally seeing the need...are we stereotypical? Forgive it!🤭

 The soundtracks were really good, I got lost in my thoughts, I could feel the emotions and got every message that was being passed...You should watch it! For a movie with just two people all through, I've never seen anything better! 


Cinematography: Sleek, Black-and-white 35mm photographed shadows.

Cast Performance: True!

Tone: Exquisite, Interesting and R rated. The curse words were accurately supplied when needed.😂

  There's a reason the movie's called The Suicide Squad and not Suicide Squad 2. Less of a sequel and more of a desperately needed do-over, this scabrous, side-splitting and surprisingly smart supervillain romp is the definite article.
